You may sing acapella or with a backing track. Additionally, we will have you perform some scales and tonal recall exercises to do a vocal range test (no need to prepare anything for this). We are just trying to get an idea of your range and ability to recall notes. Lastly, we will ask you to perform a short acting side of your choice from a list of sides available in the audition waiting room. The side will not be expected to be memorized, so there is no need to prepare anything for this portion. We will additionally use this audition as a space for you to learn more about our company, ask any and all questions you may have and to gauge your personal fit with the company!

\n
**Auditions for Fall Show**
\n
NOTE: Lead auditions for our Fall Show, will happen once admitted to the company. We perform a Broadway style musical in the Fall and a Light Opera in the Spring and all company members are expected to participate somehow in both semesters. The Board consists of some of the bests from every theatre group on campus, and it's really cool to see them all come together to lead the only solely musical theatre group on campus. Not to mention the fact that Singers shows are probably the highest quality (both in production value, but also talent wise) shows I've ever seen at Penn."},{"id":95,"text":"I was too nervous to audition for Singers my freshman fall, but finally gained the courage my sophomore year and it was by far the best decision I've made in my time at Penn. Although many of the company members that join have had a good amount of experience in high school and whatnot, it's great how we also take new performers with lots of potential (vocals, acting, and/or dance) and help train them to be triple-threats. Singers is the best part of each semester for me, we don't just work on a show, we have consistent bonding events throughout the week, support each other in other shows, and genuinely just enjoy spending time together. To anyone debating whether or not they should audition: you might as well throw your hat in the ring, you never know what could happen!"}],"twitter":"","website":"https://www.pennsingers.com","youtube":"https://youtube.com/user/UPennSingers","status":{"id":3,"name":"INACTIVE"},"classification":{"id":4,"name":"Undergraduate open","symbol":"UGo"},"group_activity_assessment":[{"id":1,"text":"Physical activities (e.g., sports, fitness events)","is_active":true,"order":1},{"id":6,"text":"Use of specialized equipment or technology","is_active":true,"order":6}]}
