About the UA

The Undergraduate Assembly (UA) is the elected, representative body of undergraduates at Penn, charged with improving life for all students through funding, services, and advocacy.

How we work:

  1. We lobby for tangible change at Penn based on student needs
    2. \n
  2. We represent students to administrators and outsiders
    3. \n
  3. We bring students from different groups and identities together
    4. \n
  4. We provide services to improve student’s quality of life
    5. \n
  5. We fund the other branches of student government and, by extension, all student groups on campus

Welcome to Penn! If you're interested in joining the UA as an elected member, stay tuned to the Penn Student Government website and the NEC's General Election page for updates about election deadlines and information sessions. Information regarding elections for the Fall 2026 semester will be released beginning of the academic year.

If you do not want to be an elected member, keep reading to learn about how you can still get involved.

Entire Penn Community

The UA is open to the public so that all Penn students can attend our General Body Meetings every Sunday at 8 p.m. in Huntsman Hall. The full schedule of dates, times, and locations will be published once the year begins. If you would like to be more involved, you can run for an elected position or apply to be an associate member.

\n

The application to be an Associate Member will be up beginning of the Fall semester.
