Club Mission

Founded in Fall 2024, AI@Penn is the premier student organization rooted in the SEAS Raj and Neera Singh AI Program. Dedicated to developing industry-level applications, research and incubating startups in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative Image Diffusion, and Computer Vision etc. 

AI@Penn consists of four key branches and a GBM, each with a unique focus:

Development Branch – Dedicated to creating impactful AI applications by utilizing established models, frameworks, and architectures to address real-world challenges and innovate in the field of AI.

Research Branch – Focused on advancing AI through collaboration with Penn professors and industry experts. This branch conducts in-depth research in areas such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, and image generation to push the boundaries of AI knowledge and application.

Outreach Branch – Acts as a bridge between the Penn AI community and top industry leaders, including companies like Hugging Face, AWS, Google, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and Apple. This branch organizes workshops, career fairs, and networking events, providing valuable opportunities for members. Additionally, it fosters collaboration with Penn professors on impactful AI projects.

Incubator Branch - Serves as an incubator for students eager to transform their AI-related ideas into impactful real-world ventures, leveraging extensive resources from the innovation ecosystem on campus and our industry partners. Access to mentorship, training workshops and development teams for application prototyping and feature implementation. * Members may be redirected to other branches for training if necessary.

Our GBM Engagement will have a 100% acceptance rate. In this program, members will come to meetings to learn from our board members, alumni, industry experts etc. about a wide array of topics.

Though we can't register graduate students as official members, we do welcome experienced graduates to submit an application and chat with us to find a way of getting involved, such as in research.
