Club Mission

AACC is a student group at Penn for anyone who is interested in the preservation of material culture, but you do not have to be in a related major to join. This is a small club currently, and we are open to anyone who is looking to get involved. We embrace all aspects of conservation, including art, classical studies, archaeology, anthropology, chemistry, and more. In the future, this club will hopefully attend interesting lectures at the Winterthur Museum, visit the Penn Museum's conservation exhibit and CAAM lab, travel to multiple art exhibitions, and visit the MET to speak with Egyptian section conservator Anna Serotta. AACC is not only academic, it is a social community as well. We look forward to making the majority of our meetings about food, and we are planning to host entertaining and hands on events for all.
