Club Mission

The Asian Programmers Interface (API), founded in 2020, represents the interests and advocates for the prosperity, security, and sustainability of the Asian community in the Masters of Computer and Information Technology (MCIT) online program at the University of Pennsylvania. API expands this mission by originating and disseminating resources to advance members’ academic and career success and by enhancing the members’ awareness and engagement in social, cultural and political affairs in North America.

Committees

The Academic Committee organizes academic events, including computer algorithm lectures, mock interview sessions, and resume workshops to increase the members’ competitiveness in the job market.

The Alumni Resources Committee maintains the alumni connections and administers various industrial, scholastic, and career opportunities referral programs.

The Corporation Liaison Committee builds bridges between technology companies with digital and technology talent demand and the API talent community by hosting corporate recruiting webinars and events.

The Political and Social Committee takes initiatives to promote the API’s online and social media presence and cooperates with the existing cultural organizations at the University of Pennsylvania to further increase the impacts of the rising Asian community.

API is designed to bring about changes that incorporate the ideas of the current students, alumni, and allies. Please contact the committees through yubeiliu@seas.upenn.edu for collaborating opportunities and other inquiries.
