Club Mission

Community School Student Partnerships (CSSP) is a student organization that provides mentorship in schools throughout the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities. As part of Penn’s overall university-assisted community network through the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, CSSP supports recess, school day, after school and evening programs across six public schools in West Philadelphia by recruiting, training, and coordinating 100-120 Penn student mentors. When interacting with students in classrooms and during CSSP events, mentors have fun, grow as individuals, and positively impact the West Philadelphia community. Penn students also work with teachers, staff, and other partners to support students’ academic and extracurricular endeavors.
