Club Mission

The Educational Pipeline Program is a student group operated by the Perelman School of Medicine and facilitated by the University of Pennsylvania's Netter Center for Community Partnerships. Pipeline works to provide mentorship and education for high school students while exposing them to a variety of careers in medicine and healthcare. With support and training, Penn students get the unique opportunity to teach lessons in neurology, cardiology, and gastroenterology to students in Philadelphia high schools from backgrounds underrespresented in medicine.

Question: How can freshman contribute to the club given limited neurology, cardiology, and gastroenterology knowledge? Are Penn students given training before mentoring the high schoolers? - Anonymous
Hey! Before any lesson is taught, the coordinators on each team will run through the material with you to make sure you understand it at a deep enough level to teach. Some prior biology knowledge is necessary, but the leadership team is here to prepare you for the classroom in every way!
