Description

Penn is focused on the improving the (first generation, low income) FGLI space, but engineering is still one of the hardest fields to enter and has high barriers to entry. Students at Penn come from a variety of backgrounds, knowledge, and opportunities, and FGLI students interested in engineering and technology often do not have the resources necessary to thrive in comparison to their peer counterparts that are more aware of the engineering space. We believe in fostering equal opportunity and support to help all students of all backgrounds fulfill their passions. Therefore, we propose a student organization that provides catered support, opportunities and development for FGLI students at Penn passionate about technology and engineering to ensure success for a population with unique needs.
