<p>The French Society at Penn is a student organization at the University of Pennsylvania which promotes the French and Francophone culture and values to the Penn community. It serves as a focal point for the French and Francophone community at Penn and constitutes the primary gateway between the French world and Penn students and faculty. The French Society at Penn acts as a platform that connects people interested in the French culture and offers the opportunity to meet, speak French and exchange ideas. It also strives to expose the Penn community to the French language, literature, cinema, art, gastronomy, politics and philosophy. It is finally a prime source of information on academic and employment opportunities in France.</p>

Promoting the French and Francophone culture and values to the UPenn community

The French Club has allowed me to interact with others interested in French language and culture through many well-planned social and educational events, including movie screenings, crêpe socials, and the language partner program.

Being a member has allowed me to connect with people from all backgrounds and cultures, sharing my interest in the francophone heritage. The events have allowed me to practice my French in an informal setting and experience Penn from a wholesome perspective

As a French International student, being a part of this club has fostered a home away from home, giving me a sense of belonging/attachment abroad. I feel like I am immediately welcome at all their events which accommodate various tastes/ interests
