Judo is a grappling martial art that includes throws, pins, chokes, and armbars. We compete at local competitions, as well as the annual PCJA college tournament. We welcome all skill levels, so come try out a session with us!
Penn Judo Club is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania, and is affiliated with the Philadelphia Collegiate Judo Association, which is an umbrella organization that includes college clubs at Swarthmore, St. Joseph's, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and West Chester University.

Question: How much are the uniforms? Can anyone go to practice or are open practices closed now? - Anonymous
Uniform prices vary based on size, but are generally around $45-75. You can arrange to purchase from our instructor by coming to practice. Practices will remain open until mid-October - everyone is welcome, no experience required!

Only a gi—the uniform—and belt are required for classes. For the first few practices, loaner gis will be available for anyone trying out judo for the first time. If you like the class and decide to continue, you can buy a gi from us and wear that for the rest of the practices!

What is the process on joining and what is the fall 2023 schedule? - Shermont Bradwell
Hi!
Our first practice will be Saturday, September 9th from 2 to 4 pm in room 409 Pottruck. Classes will be recurring every Saturday at the same time. If you are interested, check us out at the activity fair on August 31st and come to the first class!
