Description

The Kelly Writers House Fiber Arts Circle is an intentional space for students and community members to share, learn, and feel supported in their fiber arts practices (no experience necessary!).

We love teaching new skills to anyone who’s interested and have a stash of free supplies to help you get started, including yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops/thread/needles, and a sewing machine. Knitters, crocheters, weavers, embroiderers, macrame artists, needlepointers, cross-stitchers, etc. — all are welcome.

The FAC is currently working on a community blanket project (a patchwork blanket featuring squares knit/crocheted by members), and typically takes a field trip to a local, indie yarn store once a semester. Personal project funding is available on a case-by-case basis.

We meet once a week on Sundays from 6-8 PM, but members don't have to stay the whole time, just pop in when they can. No agenda, just good vibes!
