The Lebanese Club @ Penn is a student club at the University of Pennsylvania that provides a platform to all students with Lebanese/Middle-Eastern decent or with special interest to Lebanon to interact and to build strong connections. Activities will include Lebanese speaker events, dinners and cultural events. The group is not political but rather cultural and social.

Coming to Penn was my first time coming to the US, and I was preparing myself to start living without the culture that I grew up with. Joining the Lebanese Club allowed me to join a community of people equally as passionate about promoting Lebanese culture on campus as I am. From the independence day party to teaching people how to make baklawa, the kinds of events that the club plans span a very wide range.  It’s also very welcoming community, and you definitely don’t need to be Lebanese join - a love for our culture is enough!

I've found a place to call 'home' at Penn with the Lebanese Club. My time at Penn would not have been the same without the memories and friendship of everyone in the club. I was welcomed so warmly as a freshman and my involvement with the club helped ease my transition to college. As a Lebanese-American, I've been so happy to be able to connect to my Lebanese heritage while meeting other students who are either Lebanese or interested in the Lebanese culture more broadly.
