<p>El Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlán, became an organization that could support the exploration of Chicano culture, work to recruit Chicano students to Penn, and also work with the Penn community to build dialogue across campus and build a social consciousness within the Latino community.<br><br>MEChA is a student orgaization at Penn whose primary activities revolve around cultural exploration, not only around Chicano/Mexican-American culture, but Latina/o culture, Meso-American culture, history and dialogue on issues varying from race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality and many other areas. We continue working on campus to build dialogue and partnership throughout Penn’s campus.</p>

MEChA is a tight-knit community for any student that's interested in Mexican-American culture and identity. We have a lot of discussions on topics pertinent to the community and try to create a home at Penn.

MEChA is a great community, kind of a home away from home with fun people and good food.

MEChA has connected me with some of my best friends at Penn. It is a socially active group and has a lot of great discussions and cultural events as well as awesome social events.
