Cultural Advocates first, translators second.
We are a multi-lingual student organization at the University of Pennsylvania. We help Penn students become cultural advocates and interpreters at various clinics in Philadelphia by coordinating translator training and placement. MI@P aims to help improve patients' quality of life by promoting equal access to healthcare regardless of one's socioeconomic and cultural background. We acknowledge and work our hardest to minimize the challenges that come with limited English proficiency.
