Description

NEST is an undergraduate student-run, educational service-based club at the University of Pennsylvania, whose efforts are geared toward Penn students and surrounding Philadelphia communities.

NEST was founded on three pillars: education, service, and community. These pillars guide the work we do as an organization, and we hope that your passion for learning, helping others, and fostering relationships both within and beyond the Penn community will encourage you to join!

Education- We aim to educate the Penn and greater Philadelphia community about the importance of nutrition in an actionable and sustainable way. Additionally, we raise awareness about the prevalence of food insecurity, which affects both members of our student body, as well as those living throughout Philadelphia.

Service- We at NEST work to address the disproportionate access to nutrition education and healthy foods in the greater Philadelphia area. We volunteer at organizations such as MANNA and work on other projects such as creating easily accessible nutrition education resources. As Penn students, we are passionate about bridging the gap between the university and the city, and as an organization, the opportunities to do good are endless!

Community- As Penn students, we are all each others’ greatest resource, and we at NEST hope to foster a community of passionate individuals that will make a change in their lives and the lives of others. We hope that your passion for nutrition, education, and service will lead you to join the NEST family!
