Ballet at Penn, formerly Penn Ballet, is a student-run organization created to allow dancers of any level at the University of Pennsylvania to share their love of classical ballet amidst academic commitments. We are the only student group at Penn dedicated to ballet. We hold open classes in the Annenberg Dance Studio twice a week, taught by company members and professional guest teachers. These classes are free and open to all Penn students of any experience level looking to learn or re-learn ballet, further develop their technique, or just get some exercise. Our Performance Company is composed of Penn undergraduate and graduate students, who rehearse regularly to perform more advanced classical and contemporary ballet repertoire with the option to dance en pointe. The performance company has one main show each semester, as well as smaller opportunities throughout the year.
