This is a badge for the Fall 2021 SAC Fair.

The Penn Barbell Club strives to create a community for students and the UPenn community interested in any lifting and barbell sports and inspires others in our strength journey. We hold weekly group lifts that all members are encouraged to join (not applicable for fall semester).
The club is inclusive for all barbell sports, including by not limited to: powerlifting, bodybuilding, Olympic Weightlifting, CrossFit, and general fitness.  The club's main goal is to encourage strength training and cater to students, staff and faculty interested in the sport. The club sends members to local, national and international powerlifting competitions representing the University of Pennsylvania. Since the club’s initiation in 2018, the club has grown in size to nearly 300 members with numerous members actively competing in powerlifting meets and bodybuilding shows at local, national and international levels. The club has been very successful in getting people interested in strength training and elevating its field to the highest level.

Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, and More

Being a part of PBC has made me feel like I belong to a larger community at the gym. The Exec officers are always available and helpful in giving me tips on lifting, and I've made my closest friends through PBC.

I've been attending the Saturday afternoon workshops with PBC and it has really helped me with my form and technique. I learned so much about proper stretching and lifting form from the coaches.

PBC is lit they give you a lot of free samples like protein powder and preworkout! The people are so nice and friendly.
