Description

Overview

Penn Blockchain is the leading undergraduate, graduate, and MBA student organization at the University of Pennsylvania seeking to onboard students to blockchain, crypto, and Web3 landscape. We engage with the broader ecosystem via institutional and industry partnerships, which fuel our initiatives in education, strategy, and research. Penn Blockchain serves as a stepping stone toward direct involvement and recruitment.

Students undergo the education program as an opportunity to analyze the emerging Web3 market as well as fundamental concepts in mechanism design and finance as applied to blockchain. The program is designed for those entering the club and does not require previous experience. We seek a willingness to dive into the space at depth.

Penn Blockchain additionally hosts a semesterly Wharton Advisory Board course on Blockchain and the annual Penn Blockchain Conference, as well as cross-university trading and hackathon competitions.

Stay up to date via our lu.ma, website, newsletter, and twitter!

Committees

Students are then invited to join committees, where upperclassmen guide members to develop skill sets in smart contract development, VC investment, DeFi/yield/MEV trading strategy, quantitative research, and governance.

Students participating in committees have access to more club-wide events as well as travel to different blockchain conferences/hackathons domestically and internationally. Last semester, we sponsored students to attend conferences in Seoul, Istanbul, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Bogota, Denver, New York, San Francisco, and more!
