Club Mission

Penn's only club dedicated to the sport of running! We are a student group at the University of Pennsylvania with options for competitive runners as well as beginners and recreational athletes. We host several practices and track workouts every week with a range of pacing and distances to choose from. We also travel to many meets throughout the season, and have ~no~ tryouts. We are open to both undergraduate and graduate students interested in meeting people to run with. Joining our club is as easy as joining the Slack:

Question: Hi. Do you guys do any marathons or half marathons? - Anonymous

Yes! Many of us train, travel, and carb load at pasta parties together for half and full marathons in Philly. We plan our meet schedule around Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, the Love Run, and the Broad Street Run. We welcome runners looking to race at any distance, hobby runners, and newcomers. Question: If I’d like to train every day but not necessarily go to meets every week, is that doable? (not a huge fan of racing, more just training) Or is it more of a rigid schedule where everyone on the team goes to every meet like in high school - Anonymous

Yes, you don't have to go to meets. We have plenty of people who just practice with us but don't compete.
