Club Mission

Hi! We are Penn Badminton, a student group dedicated to promoting badminton and playing competitively against different schools across the country.

The purpose of Penn Badminton is to build a strong competitive team and promote interest in badminton as a recreational sport in the University of Pennsylvania community. We will accomplish this goal not only by training consistently and competing every semester but also by holding recreational practice sessions and competitions on campus.

Everybody is welcome to play in our recreational team, and people who are interested in competing in collegiate tournaments can try out for the competitive team. We're the reigning Eastern Collegiate Mid Atlantic D1 Champions!

Yes - today (Thursday 1/25) 6-7:30pm is our first tryout for the competitive team, and Monday 6-8pm is our second one (only need to come to one). If you'd just like to play for fun, we will have our recreational practices starting next Wednesday 6-8pm at Weightman Hall (please use the door further from DRL or closer to Penn Medicine). Feel free to join our GroupMe for updates and to access the door!

We can provide shuttles and rackets from the rec team. If you want more quality rackets you can buy them from the badminton gym in NE Philly Club28!
