Hi! We are UPenn Badminton, a student group dedicated to promoting the sport of badminton (a.k.a. the fastest racquet sport in the world!) and playing competitively against different schools across the country. All skill levels and years are welcome!

Everybody is welcome to play in our recreational team, and people who are interested in competing in collegiate tournaments can try out for the competitive team. We're the reigning Eastern Collegiate Mid Atlantic Conference D1 Champions!

For Fall 2023:

Open gym dates will be 9/6 and 9/11 6-8pm, 9/7 5:15-7:15pm

Tryouts (competitive team only) will be 9/13 6-8pm and 9/14 5:15-7:15pm

Recreational practices start 9/20 and will be every Wednesday 6-8pm

Yes - today (Thursday 1/25) 6-7:30pm is our first tryout for the competitive team, and Monday 6-8pm is our second one (only need to come to one). If you'd just like to play for fun, we will have our recreational practices starting next Wednesday 6-8pm at Weightman Hall (please use the door further from DRL or closer to Penn Medicine). Feel free to join our GroupMe for updates and to access the door!

We can provide shuttles and rackets from the rec team. If you want more quality rackets you can buy them from the badminton gym in NE Philly Club28!
