Club Mission

The Penn Jiu-Jitsu Club is an inclusive martial arts organization established with the goal of promoting self-defense, fitness, and personal growth. The club provides a welcoming environment for individuals of all skill levels to learn and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Penn Jiu-Jitsu offers a wide range of training opportunities, including classes, seminars, and open mat sessions. These sessions focus on teaching techniques, including the fundamental as well as the advanced, and live rolling to simulate competition. We also participate in local tournaments and hold regular social events.

Come learn the "gentle art" of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with us!

Question: Does Jiu-Jitsu at Penn train with the gi or no-gi? - Anonymous

For now, no-gi because we are a new club and aren't situated to provid gis. I think it will be easier for everyone to train without the gi (since the majority of new members will not have one), at least to start with. Ideally we would do both.
