Memory Advocacy and Research Society (MARS, or Memory Club at Penn) is dedicated to promoting cognitive health for all ages. In an increasingly digital world, we believe that human memory is a precious asset—one that captures our lived experiences and shapes our identity.
We harness the power of memory enhancement for individual and community success. Whether you're seeking academic success, cognitive agility, or want to help people in the community improve their cognitive health, our club provides a supportive community dedicated to cultivating mindful learning and neurological excellence.
We organize biweekly memory training groups for our members to bond over memory techniques and research. There is strong evidence that enhanced memory skills can improve problem-solving and creative thinking, and possibly slow cognitive impairment. Most importantly, memory training is so fun!
We are also committed to driving social change through our community advocacy programs. We are working with schools in the greater Philadelphia area to organize cognitive health, neuroscience, and memory training programs for youth, to empower their studies and wellbeing.
Other events we may organize throughout the year include: interactive memory workshops with guest speakers, live demonstration of a human brain dissection, and collaboration with community groups.
Together, we explore the realms of memory techniques, share insights on cognitive health, and foster an environment that empowers each member to achieve their best. Elevate your recall mastery, ignite your mental acuity, and embark on a path to academic, social and cognitive triumph with MARS at Penn!
