Club Mission

We are a student organization at the University of Pennsylvania that competes in intercollegiate quiz bowl tournaments. Quiz bowl is a fast-paced, team-based academic competition covering a wide range of topics, from history and literature to science, arts, and current events. Our club holds weekly practices where members can sharpen their knowledge, improve buzzer speed, and enjoy friendly scrimmages. Throughout the year, we travel to compete against other colleges and universities, representing Penn at the regional and national level.

Question: Are the competitions trivia-based or more on work-out-able Qs? - Anonymous

The questions are trivia-based, but as you keep playing more quizbowl, you'll learn how to work out the answer to the question as it's being read to you. Each question is a few sentences long, with clues becoming more accessible as the question progresses. That's a great question, and we'll be sure to explain more about question content at our first few sessions of the semester!
