Ideas for Action (I4A) is a student-run joint program of the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School. It acts as a knowledge platform connecting young leaders all around the world who are passionate about the future development of our world.
We host multiple events throughout the school year, including speakers from the World Bank and other international development organizations, we regularly run a design-thinking ideation workshop at Penn, the UN Youth Assembly and internationally. We also organize a competition during which youths from around the world design ideas for financing the UN’s new development agenda. The competition acts as a catalyst to spark global conversation among millenials and seeks to encourage them to contribute their own voice to the development conversation.
On the consulting side, the student-run startup accelerator works closely with the finalists of the competition that hail from across the world to provide them with feedback and resources to take their ideas to the next level and connect them with a network of supporting individuals that can enable them to do so.
On the outreach side, we pursue partnerships with other schools in the US, and large organizations globally to help expand the I4A network.
We want you to join this conversation. We want you to change the world.
