Penn for Youth Debate

Public speakingYouthCommunity ServiceUndergraduateSAC

Description

We're a student group at the University of Pennsylvania. We strive to improve the educational outcomes of underprivileged students in Philadelphia. We work with students on their reading, writing, research, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.

Our volunteers are passionate about promoting educational justice and creating meaningful bonds with their students.

We require no experience. If you would like to work in the speech and debate arm, we can train you.

We are non-competitive. We require no applications and no interviews. If you would like to volunteer with us, we will have a place for you in our organization and a community that you can rely on.

We work around your schedule. Regardless of much time you can dedicate to PFYD, we will have opportunities for you to stay engaged.
