What is Phi Delta Epsilon?
Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a lifelong commitment to our guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and education through fellowship, service, mentoring, and leadership. PhiDE is the oldest and largest medical fraternity, with chapters at medical schools and undergraduate institutions across the world.
PhiDE at Penn is the only pre-medical fraternity on campus. We have a chapter of around 60 members with diverse backgrounds and interests. Our alumni have gone on to a variety of gap year programs, medical schools, MD/PhD programs, and MD/MBA programs.
What We Do
In our chapter, we strive to foster a community of students on the pre-medical path, through a variety of social, service, philanthropy, and educational events. We pride ourselves for our balance between social and professional development programming. We are a tight-knit family, where members are consistently looking out for and supporting one another. Additionally, we provide professional development opportunities to ensure that our members are positioned to succeed as pre-medical students.
Who Can Join
First-years, sophomores, and juniors on the pre-medical track are invited to rush in the fall. As a co-educational fraternity, students of any gender are welcome.
