Club Mission

Project LETS is an inclusive network of both undergraduate and graduate students who have lived with mental illness (or experiences that are understood as mental illness). We work to provide peer support services, assist with advocacy efforts, and strive for political change. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we approach our work through the framework of intersectional feminism and aim to break down barriers that stand between us and quality mental health care by addressing the issues of stigma and institutional ableism.
Our objective is to minimize the gap between impersonal, clinical research (and experiences with the medical system) and our own expertise coming from personal experiences. We are embarking on a dual-mission of centering the narratives of disabled and mentally-ill people and democratizing clinical knowledge through a task-shifting model of peer-integrated systems.
