<p>Founded in 2008, Penn Science Across Ages (PSAA) is a University of Pennsylvania student-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of science education in the West Philadelphia public school system. We provide weekly science teaching assistance in elementary and middle schools throughout West Philadelphia. As a PSAA Fellow, you will employ inquiry-based methods to lead science lessons. Inquiry-based teaching encourages students to actively engage and partake in interactive experiments.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Students from all schools and majors are welcomed!&nbsp;</p>

Supporting local education in the sciences

Being a part of PSAA allowed me a great opportunity to de-stress from the world of Penn while being able to make a positive difference in the community

I really enjoyed the ability to teach elementary students through the lab-based approach.  It was amazing to see how excited they were by the real life manifestation of the science they learned in the classroom.

I have made some great friends with some of the high school students that I teach through the Upward Bound program.  Not only have I been able to share my love of science, but I have also made a positive impact in their life and future.
