STEP-UP is a Student Organization at the University of Pennsylvania that aims to enable and provide resources for students to raise and train service dogs in conjunction with Canine Companions for Independence. CCI is a non-profit organization that provides highly trained services dogs, free of charge, to people with disabilities.

We currently only raise puppies through CCI, so all of our puppy raisers have puppies from CCI

How to Get Involved

Members can be involved as general members, puppy walkers, puppy sitters, or puppy raisers! We expect to have more puppies on campus soon! Club membership is open to everyone, and a short google form is required to confirm your interest (https://forms.gle/XaAN5uGKHhFct3889). To become a member and continue to receive emails and participate in events, individuals must pay dues of $10 per semester (more information on the google form). Financial assistance can be provided to those that request it via our email.  DUES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR.
