Club Mission

Penn Carey Law's chapter of the Federalist Society is a student led group at the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law. The Federalist Society is a group of conservatives and libertarians who are committed to the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be. Penn Carey Law's chapter of the Federalist Society seeks to promote awareness of these principles through speaking events and social gatherings. The Federalist Society provides a forum for legal experts of opposing views to interact with members of the legal profession, the judiciary, law students, academics, and the architects of public policy in order to redefine the terms of legal debate.
