The Junto is a club dedicated to mutual improvement. This club was named after and inspired by a literary group established in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin. The Junto is designed to bring people together from all walks of life who share a spirit of inquiry and a desire to improve themselves, their community, and the lives of the poor and vulnerable. In order to achieve these goals, we encourage our members to choose and pursue a personal project that is meaningful to them. We share updates on our progress during weekly meetings and receive advice from other members. During weekly meetings, we also discuss questions concerning ethics, politics, natural philosophy, and business affairs. We hold ourselves to high standards and approach controversial topics with humility, candor and a genuine desire to learn something new.
