The club provides an outlet for students to make friends and share their love of the sport through practice sessions, exhibitions, service events, group skates, and competitions. "I never had the opportunity to learn how to skate growing up, but always admired the gracefulness and beauty of the sport. After coming to Penn, I decided to try it out by taking lessons through the figure skating club, and found the process of learning new skills really rewarding and fun. Through skating, I’ve found a community where I’ve met some of the nicest people, and a new creative outlet for myself."
