UPGRADE is Penn's game development club. Every year, we aim to produce two club-wide games, one every semester. The final, second semester game is published on Steam, with your name in the credits! Anyone can join our club, and we do not require applications.
Beyond making games, we also aim to provide students the resources, opportunities, and environment to foster their passion and creativity. To that end, we also host yearly game jams, organize training workshops, host speaker events, fun gaming collabs/trips, and more.
Whether you like programming, drawing, modeling, writing, composing, or anything else, we welcome anyone who's interested in any aspect of game dev. And while previous experience with any of these roles is expected, we will get you up to speed with any game dev-related stuff, and you'll hit the ground running on your very first game in a matter of days.
We meet Saturdays from 2 to 5 PM, in Levine 307. Additional checkup meetings/office hours will likely be held throughout the week.
