Advancing Health Education Diversity (AHED) strives to encourage Black/African American, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaska Native, and Asian high school students to pursue pre-health undergraduate programs. Our student organization accomplishes this objective through various initiatives: providing a catalog of health-specific resources (such as internships, summer programs, scholarships, etc.), offering general college (and prospective pre-health) admissions advice, and fostering mentorships with pre-health undergraduates at the University of Pennsylvania. By supporting, advising, and connecting our students, we aim to diversify a field where minorities have been traditionally underrepresented and marginalized.
