The museum is free, and the city has free public transit from the train station to the museum. This early, Amtrak tickets are still pretty cheap, so that is your only expense! Next field trip planned!

They are closed Christmas eve and Christmas Day, but I'm pretty sure the 26th is after that. So they should be open 10am-5pm

You will be responsible for your own travel. This early, Amtrak tickets are pretty cheap if you go early and leave late.
Transit from the train station to the museum is free. The Walters is located along the Purple line of the Charm City Circulator at stop number 307.

If you decide to save money (right now 6am train tickets are only $5) and arrive before the museum opens, let's plan to meet at Ceremony Coffee, which opens at 7am, just a block or so from the museum

And let's tentatively pick Refocused Vegan, which is open until 8pm on Fridays, as a place we can spend time after the museum closes if you are looking at later train tickets home. But we can also do further research.
