Alzheimer's Buddies requires an application process to join the club. You can subscribe to this club to get notified when applications open and close. This club typically recruits its members during both semesters.
Alzheimer's Buddies provides the following information on how to get involved with the club:
Applications for Fall 2025 are now closed. Our application cycle will begin in September.
Members are expected to visit their buddy at West Park Nursing Home or Atria Senior Living once a week for an hour, excluding certain weekends, such as fall/spring break, or after reading days. They are expected to attend bimonthly reflection meetings and participate in our guest lectures and fundraisers.
A member in good standing has done most, if not all, their weekly visits and attended most reflection meetings. While we host group visits every week for ease of transportation, we are also flexible to allow members to visit on their own time if the group visit time does not work!
