<p>Alzheimer’s Buddies is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania that pairs members with nursing home residents experiencing dementia in an attempt to alleviate the often-overlooked emotional and social challenges that stem from Alzheimer’s disease and related afflictions. Members visit their paired residents weekly and often develop close, meaningful relationships with them.</p>

Alzheimer’s Buddies is a Penn student group that pairs members with nursing home residents experiencing dementia in an attempt to alleviate the often-overlooked emotional and social challenges that stem from Alzheimer’s disease and related afflictions.

I love spending time with my buddy and learning about her past. She is a remarkable woman...who teaches me so much about life and brightens my day each time I visit her. I hope that I can have a fraction of the amount of impact on her life as she does in mine.
