Club Mission

BSAP is a network of support that fosters an environment for Black student-athletes–alongside those interested in the experience or advocacy of Black student-athletes—to learn from, grow with, and uplift one another. We strive to create a space where members thrive both academically and athletically, while remaining grounded in their shared community and interests.

As students, we prioritize academic excellence by offering resources, mentorship, and community support to ensure that every member is empowered to succeed. As athletes, we advocate for the recognition and development of Black talent in sports and academics, championing inclusivity within Penn Athletics and the Ivy League. Furthermore, we aim to uplift our community by building lasting connections and working with West Philly communities.

In essence, BSAP stands as a united front of Black student-athletes and committed students dedicated to unity, excellence, and advocacy for a more equitable and just future, both on and off the field.
