Club Mission

Club's Mission:

As a student organization under the University of Pennsylvania, Business Industry Trends’ goal is to educate and inspire ardent students who are interested in pursuing a career in business or entrepreneurship. We aim to provide a platform where our members can connect with experienced industry experts of their interest from a vast range of business cohorts to gain a competitive edge in navigating the business world. We strive to accomplish this and provide our members with an immersive educational opportunity through weekly meetings, informative speaker events, peer-to-peer mentorship/networking opportunities, and more.

Committees:

Industry Research Committee - Excels in thoroughly researching different industry sectors to gather information on market trends, key players, emerging technologies, and challenges. This team blends strong analytical skills with interpersonal skills by offering frequent reports or presentations on their intensive research.

Marketing Committee - Responsible for creating strategic marketing initiatives to publicize the club's events and mission. This entails managing social media platforms to create captivating and accurate content, designing professional promotional materials, and implementing targeted campaigns to maximize event visibility and to foster member engagement.

Event Planning Committee - Handles the logistics and organization of various events during the meetings, including but not limited to member-led presentations and enriching speaker engagements. Essentially, this committee connects with and invites prominent professionals and leaders across various industries to offer their insight at GBMs while developing a comprehensive database of contacts for members to use for networking.

Internal Development Committee – Plays a key role in fostering a collaborative and passionate community within the club. The committee organizes engaging weekly GBMs with open discussions and interactive activities, hosts team-building events such as socials to strengthen member connections, and publishes a weekly email newsletter that shares club updates, industry insights, and upcoming opportunities to keep everyone informed and involved.
