The Ghana Graduate Society at Penn is dedicated to enriching the University of Pennsylvania’s
graduate student community by celebrating and sharing Ghanaian culture, history, and values.
We strive to create a vibrant space where Ghanaian graduate and professional students can
connect socially, academically, and professionally, while also welcoming students from diverse
backgrounds who share an interest in Ghana.
The Society strives to :
1. Enrich the graduate and professional student community by promoting understanding
and awareness of Ghanaian culture, history, and values.
2. Work with networks in Ghana and across the diaspora to support the professional
development of Ghanaian graduate and professional students on campus.
3. Provide a communal space for Ghanaian international and US-based students alike to
convene as they undertake their graduate and professional studies at the University.
4. Organize social and professional events of interest to Ghanaian graduate and professional
students.
