Club Mission

Hyperloop at Penn’s primary objective is to design and build a Microtunnel Boring Machine on an annual basis to compete in The Boring Company’s Not-a-Boring Competition in which university and industry teams alike compete to dig a quality tunnel in the shortest amount of time.

Through the design and build process, this student-run club seeks to give it’s engineers invaluable practical experience that would otherwise be impossible to get through classroom learning, and to expose it’s engineers to contacts in the heavy industry and infrastructure sectors thereby bolstering and diversifying the range of post-graduation outcomes available to these engineers.
