Japan Student Association

JSA is a student group at the University of Pennsylvania that celebrates Japanese culture.

JSA is a club where people who are interested in or grew up with Japanese culture can come together and enjoy what the culture has to offer. It is also an opportunity for people who are learning Japanese to get to meet people who are fluent in the language and practice with them. Members can get to meet new people at events like karaoke and general body meetings. There are also food events like sushi night, curry drive, and mochi fest where the Penn community can enjoy homemade Japanese food. Personally, JSA has been a club where I was able to meet other students that I wouldn’t have otherwise who have the same passion for the Japanese culture.

JSA holds events throughout the year to celebrate Japanese tradition. We have events like sushi night and mochi fest where we share Japanese culture with Penn students. Additionally we have events with family groups where students have an opportunity to interact with other students in the club. And so, JSA is a community where students can share their passion for Japanese culture.
