The MCIT Online Student Association (MOSA) is the first and only dedicated student organization for the Masters of Computer and Information Technology (MCIT) online student community at the University of Pennsylvania.
MOSA’s goal is to develop and foster the MCIT online student community with programs and events related to Education/Learning, Entrepreneurship/Jobs and Social/Fellowship.
What we offer:
- Educational Enrichment: The MOSA Education and Learning Committee organizes events and programs designed to further develop students’ technical skillsets outside the classroom. Past examples include online hackathons and individual programming challenges.
- Student Advocacy: MOSA seeks to enhance the MCIT Online student’s experience by acting as the liaison amongst the MCIT Online students, on-campus students, and Penn Engineering faculty and administration.
- Professional Development: The MOSA Entrepreneurship and Jobs Committee enhances MCIT Online students’ career opportunities and professional networks through workshops and programs planned for our diverse student cohort: from career changers to entrepreneurs to those wishing to supplement their current role in any industry.
- Community Building: MOSA supports our highly engaged online student community through active engagement through consistent virtual events, designated mentorship programs, community newsletters and blogs, and occasional in-person social meet-ups.
