Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) requires an application process to join the club. You can subscribe to this club to get notified when applications open and close. This club typically recruits its members during both semesters.
Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) provides the following information on how to get involved with the club:
There are two pathways to join MERT:

Reciprocity:
If you hold a current EMT certification from any US state (including NREMT), you are eligible to apply to MERT through our Fall 2026 reciprocity application process.
If you are currently in an EMT class that has not yet concluded, you may be eligible to submit the application for membership through reciprocity. However, you must successfully complete your EMT class and any cognitive/psychomotor examinations required to obtain your certification by September 19th, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the loss of eligibility for MERT membership through reciprocity for the Fall 2026 application cycle.
Reciprocity applications will be released at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 30th, and will be due by 11:59 PM on Thursday, September 10th. Late applications will not be accepted.

Spring 2027 EMT Class:
If you do not currently hold an EMT certification, are in your freshman or sophomore year, and would like to certify through MERT, you are eligible to apply to MERT through our Spring 2027 EMT Class application process.
Applications will be released at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 30th, and will be due by 11:59 PM on Friday, September 25th. Late applications will not be accepted.
