I joined the UPenn NAACP because I am passionate about social justice, and I want to work to provide equity of resources and opportunities for people of color at Penn. Through the organization, I have promoted awareness about mental health issues of Blacks, been part of events that showcase the art of Black artists, and engaged collaboratively with the other clubs at Penn.

Upon entering into Penn my freshman year, I was enthused by the activism of the UPENN NAACP branch. I was thrilled to find the extensive community outreach the organization managed to do. Their connecting with 'Black Philly' is unparalleled.
