Our Mission:
We're a student-run organization dedicated to building out Penn's climate innovation ecosystem. PCV aims to create a professional pipeline on par with consulting, finance, and tech — but specifically for climate! We are composed of students ranging from all 4 years AND grad students, all with an interest in exploring climate. All majors are welcome, and we do not require any prior experience!

<li>Provide opportunities for real-world climate tech experience through consulting engagements with climate organizations or companies looking to solve business issues related to sustainability. </li>
<li>Empower student entrepreneurs in climate with our Ideathon and Prize pitch competitions.</li>
<li>Host professional development opportunities ranging from NY company treks to company-sponsored dinners.</li>
<li>Foster a tight-knit and inclusive community, and host many fun social events like backyard BBQs, karaokes, board game nights, etc! </li>

We are looking for members in all 7 teams below for the Fall '22 Recruitment Cycle. We welcome students from any backgrounds, so please apply even if you don't have any past experience listed in the descriptions. We deeply value commitment and passion for learning more than anything else!

Prize: Runs the annual international Spring <a href="https://prize.pennclimateventures.org/">Penn Climate Ventures Prize Competition</a> where participants tackle environmental issues by pitching their own innovative startup ideas. This team handles end-to-end logistics from competitor recruitment, talking to renowned speakers/judges/mentors such as Andrew Beebe (MD @ Obvious Ventures), and securing funding from companies (Banyan Infrastructure) and VC firms (Blackhorn Ventures) and Penn (SP2, M&amp;T, Kleinman Center).&nbsp;
Events: Organizes exciting speaker, recruitment, &amp; panel events! Invites climate tech CEOs, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to speak at PCV events and dinners. We're also starting a new collaboration with <a href="https://www.climatetechcocktails.com/">Climate Tech Cocktails </a>this semester to host a big Philly networking climate event in November.&nbsp;
Fellowships: Conducts outreach to potential consulting clients to initiate professional collaborations and networking opportunities. Maintains corporate sponsorships and handles recruitment and education/mentorship for student consultants.
Consulting: Works in teams of 4-5 student consultants to help companies with semester-long projects ranging from sustainability market research, carbon capture, composting and carbon offset proposals, etc. We've worked with clients such as an international investment bank, large NY utilties provider, City of Philadelphia, ESG consultancies, project finance startups, and many more!
Marketing &amp; Design: Create cohesive branding for PCV, and market it to the general Penn community and more. Spearheads marketing campaigns, manages social media accounts, and develop merch ideas. Contributes to PCV's goal of becoming the national go-to student-run climate org by striving to promote our org to external opportunities.&nbsp;
Web Development: Develop and maintain PCV websites using HTML/CSS/JS. We are also exploring a possibility for members to take on technical projects similarly to how consulting projects work. Web Dev is a flexible and interdisciplinary team that works very closely with other teams. Great opportunity to learn more about web dev, learn from upperclassmen in tech, and get hands-on experience!
Special Projects: Works on a monthly-run energy policy report to educate members about the latest and greatest technology and political developments.
