Club Mission

FReSH at Penn is a student-led organization focused on combating food waste and food insecurity within our community. Our mission is to rescue surplus food from around campus (currently One West Cafe in PCAM), which would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to those in need.

Every week, volunteers collect unsold meals and essential groceries and store them in a nearby fridge. Our community partner, the Philly Survival Collective, then picks up the meals and delivers them, along with other essential household items, to community members experiencing food insecurity.

We believe that reducing food waste and redistributing resources is a collective responsibility. FReSH cultivates, through sustainable action, collaboration, and learning, a culture of sustainability, service, and care within the Penn community and beyond. By bridging the gap between excess and need, our work demonstrates that small, coordinated efforts can drive meaningful and lasting change.
