Club Mission

We are a student group at Penn continuing Grey Matters, which first started at the University of Washington to broaden access to neuroscience content. At Penn, we embody the very purpose for which Grey Matters was founded. Neuroscience is one of the fastest-growing fields, with rapid developments in brain technology, emotions, and neurodegenerative disease research. It is therefore imperative to broaden access to these interesting yet useful topics. Grey Matters serves as a focal point for neuroscience information that should be widely accessible, not restricted to neuroscience students. We are composed of artists, engineers, writers, and many others across disciplines. Students of any major can write articles and potential research papers for publication on topics intersecting neuroscience. We also provide free podcasts engaging with Penn faculty on research, experiments, and the future of the field. Lastly, we are committed to writing and discussing animal behavior.
