We are Penn's first and only student organization for American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. We host activities for novices who are just curious about sign language, practice signing sessions for people of all ASL levels to increase their fluency, and plan many opportunities to educate our campus about Deaf culture. Deaf, hearing, and all levels of signing ability are welcome!&nbsp;

American Sign Language & Deaf Culture Club

I joined PIH [Penn In Hand] because I care about increasing engagement between Penn students and the Philadelphia Deaf community. We desire to promote Deaf culture and increase inclusivity for this minority group.

Penn In Hand has organized social gatherings that bring together ASL students and the Philadelphia Deaf community.  We have also launched a lecture series, so that all university students can learn more about Deaf narratives and the civil rights of the differently-abled from experts and Deaf professors.
