A student group at the University of Pennsylvania that serves to promote the awareness and appreciation of the Philippine culture.

PPA is more than just a cultural organization. It is an organization of people from all over the world that appreciate and exemplify the Filipino characteristics of hospitality, camaraderie, and community.

PPA is our home away from home. Besides indulging in physical representations of Filipino culture like food or dancing, first and foremost, we uphold the most important Filipino value: pamilya (i.e. family). We treat each other like family, allowing people from all around the world to experience what it truly means to be a proud Pinoy.

Everyone and anyone who appreciates Filipino culture is welcome to join PPA, no matter what background, culture, race, or nationality the person comes from. Newcomers are given utmost respect and are welcome to join all the GBMs, coffee chats, cultural shows, and hangouts they want. I haven't seen anyone not feel welcome in our space.
